EXHIBITION
Will not take place this year (2019).
This decision was made, reluctantly, by the membership of Waveney Valley MRC due to the workload on fewer (and progressively older!) club members.
This workload has been over five days (Thursday to Monday), including preparations for the exhibition along with manning the event on the two public days and clearing up long after visitors have left and into the next day.
Waveney Valley MRC will be looking into possible of options for future years which will almost certainly have to be on smaller scale than recently.
A huge thank you goes out all who have made Southwold the success it has been, especially since our move to Saint Felix School in 2000 when we suddenly had a much larger space to occupy than previously!
We have had much support over the years from fellow modellers who have eagerly attended our event either as visitors, with layouts or as demonstrators; Traders - of which we have attracted a good variety and who have invariably promoted Southwold on their websites and flyers;  The Model Railway Press who have always helped with promoting  Southwold and supporting our exhibition guide by buying advertising space and providing prizes for our charity raffle; Staff of Saint Felix School especially caterers who provided exhibitors meals: Southwold MRE caterers, (a mixture of club members, wives, families and friends) who have provided refreshments for the public , exhibition stewards etc. and exhibitors
